Finding Structure in the Organic

Design, for me, is a conversation between discipline and spontaneity. It's about balance—between what is wild and what is measured, what flows freely and what holds everything together.

I begin with the natural world, letting organic shapes emerge without overthinking. Once I’ve captured the natural elements, I bring in structure—geometry, grids, symmetry. I love this part. Each scarf is a result of this interplay. Between the human hand and architectural precision—it makes the design feel alive. It invites the viewer to move in closer, to notice layers they may have missed at first glance.

A scarf should be more than an accessory; it should be a small work of art. I believe in designing thoughtfully. That’s why all of our prints are original artworks, and why each scarf is made with care—high-quality silk, hand-rolled or bound edges, and rich, carefully chosen colours that hold both vibrancy and subtlety.

Design, for me, is a way of seeing the world—and I hope that when you wear one of our scarves, you see a bit of that world too.

Thanks for being part of the OWD story —Oliver
